Warren was born and raised in Arcadia Bay. He's an only child. His parents were attentive and mostly nice, they indulged him in his love of science and movies from a young age. However, as it became clear that he was ahead of his peers in academics, his parents got strict about his grades. Because they knew that he was "capable of better." Even an A- gets some lecturing nowadays.
Something of a science and math prodigy (physics is his favorite though he enjoys chemistry as well), he managed to skip TWO grades in middle school and started as a freshman at Blackwell Academy when he was 12 (in 2009). He's extremely used to being bullied because of this, and tends to have female friends more than male friends because they're often more kind and nurturing with him. Some of the guys have been okay though, particularly when he's helped them with their studies.
His parents have a seemingly okay marriage though they aren't overly demonstrative with their affection. Warren is closer to his mom than his dad, and has always enjoyed baking with her, and regaling her with the science of it all. They are both ever so slightly workaholics, and it hit them hard when they lost their jobs in the fishing industry at Arcadia Bay and thus had to move. This happened the same year he started at Blackwell Academy in 2009, so he was allowed his own dorm there despite his young age.
Warren's current goal is to enter the University of Washington after he graduates from Blackwell (Class of 2013). He plans on studying Physics and Math there and get his doctorate, but also maybe Education, because he'd love to be a teacher of these subjects he loves. His stated reason being that "Nothing's better than learning!"
While Warren is mostly exceedingly normal, all things considered, his canon is not. Life is Strange deals with: bullying, suicide, underage drug/alcohol use (including some non-consensual drugging), fighting/violence, guns/shooting, manslaughter, murder, and terrible adults (both abusive and neglectful) in regards to teens' safety.
